I was trying to find out more information via this website about the Heart Place-Heart Centers that you have in your city. I am desperately trying to contact a cardiac specialist by the name of John Hallwell. He was the physician that first diagnosed my brother's unexpicable cardiac problem. Unfortunately, my beloved brother passed away in August 1999. I need to contact Dr. Hall as soon as possible to discuss my brother's status when he first diagnosed him about 5 years ago. I feel that my brother's death could have been prevented. He trusted Dr. Hallwell and I need to speak with this person asap. Thanks! Janice

We will be moving to McKinney at the end of the month. Would like any pertinent information for a family moving such as 800 numbers for setting up phone, utilities, etc.prior to our move. This would make the transition much smoother to have certain items set up before we get there.

hello
To: Members of Youth Camp planning Committee From: Twyla Winfrey, Chair, H.S. Date: January 5, 2002 Subject: Youth Camp participant selection Process Here is a first draft of a summary of the selection process to be used in choosing students for the Twin Cities Youth Camp for Fine & Performing Arts to be held at Twin Cities University this summer. I believe the decisions reached at our last joint meeting are accurately reflected in the summary. To be sure, please read the summary carefully and note any changes you think should be made. After I receive your feedback, I’ll prepare a revised summary to be included in a packet of material to be given to prospective participants and their parents. Xx Enclosure TWIN CITIES CAMP FOR FINE & PERFORMING ARTS July 9-22, 2002 The Twin Cities Youth Camp for Fine & Performing Arts on the Twin Cities University campus is scheduled for two weeks, from Sunday afternoon, July 9, to Saturday night, July 22. Made possible by grants from the Carnegie Foundation and the National Endowment for the Arts, the camp will give approximately forty students rare opportunity to study and work with outstanding specialists in the fields of art, music, theater, and dance. The camp can accommodate up to ten students in each of these fields. Art Camp Up to ten art students will be chosen on the basis of their entries in a competitive art exhibit to be held at Roseville High School on Saturday, May 13. Entries will be judged by an art professor from TCU, an art teacher from a local high school, and an art critic from the Minneapolis Institute of Art. Each student must enter at least three but not more than five pieces – at least one in oils, one in watercolor, and one in charcoal. Other categories include sculpture and computer graphics. Music Camp As many as ten music students will be chosen based on their performance at competitive auditions to be held at Hiawatha High School on Saturday, May 13. The judge will include two professors of music from TCU, two music teachers from local high schools, and two music critics (one from the Star Tribune, the other from the Pioneer Press). Both vocalists and instrumentalists may enter the competition. For the first time, a computerized synthesizer may be used for accompaniment. Theater Camp Eight to ten theater students will be chosen on the basis of their performance at competitive auditions to be held at Richfield High School on Saturday, May 20. Judges will include two professors of drama and theater from TCU, two class play directors from local newspapers. Musical theater students may enter as actors, vocalists, or both. Dance Camp Up to ten dance students will be selected on the basis of their performance at a dance at a dance competition to be held at Falcon Heights High School on Saturday, May 13. Judges will be specialists in ballet and modern dance from TCU, a dance theater critic from the Star Tribune, and the director of Twin Cities Dance Company. Entrants may dace solo, in pairs, or in groups. Living Accommodations All students will live in campus dormitories. Each group will be mentored by a TCU faculty member and a high school teacher. Meals will be provided for all youth campers in the Student Center Cafeteria. Student living costs are covered by the grants.

As former residents of Lowry Crossing, we thoroughly enjoyed our 12 years in and around McKinney. We left many fine friends there when we retired and moved to the Sequatchie Valley of the Cumberland Plateau in East Tennessee. Our daughter married into the Power/Love families of Collin County. I am certain that she and her husband will return to McKinney to live. Your McKinneyNet web site is an excellent source of information. Thanks.
