Our People Directory is "G" rated
and all profile information you submit to us will be reviewed by the webmasters prior to
inclusion. All profiles not adhering to this "G" standard will not be approved.
We reserve all rights in this matter and our decision is final.
If you submit a profile that is not
approved by us, you may submit another one that does adhere to a "G" rating. Of
course, that profile too will be reviewed by us prior to inclusion.
The People Directory is not intended for
business use. Our Business Directory offers business several low cost advertising options such as our
"Standard Listing". If you are a business person wishing to advertise your

You must provide us with a valid
e-mail address and one that you regularly check. This address will not be
given out to anyone if you so desire, but it is required by the "Send a Message"
program in order to notify you of new messages you receive at McKinney Net's Message
Center. Even if you choose to reveal your e-mail address, we still need a valid e-mail
address so that we may contact you if necessary concerning The People Directory.
If your e-mail address is found to be
invalid 3 times, your profile will be rendered unavailable until you edit your profile to
include a VALID e-mail address. We simply can not tolerate our mail server being
bogged down with trying to find invalid e-mail addresses.
The messages sent and received between you
and others are not read by McKinney Net and are NOT edited in any way
whatsoever. Since the content of these messages is not "public", we have no need
to be concerned about whether or not they adhere to the "G" rating.
Although anyone has access to the
information in you profile, NO ONE has access to your messages but you.
Feel free to say whatever you want in those messages. McKinney Net assumes no liability
for the content of these messages and is not liable in any way for any actions or damages
arising from the sending or receiving of said messages.
You must select a "Nickname" and
Password when you set up your profile. Try not to forget these. These will be
e-mailed to the address you provide when you set up your profile or when you edit it, so
we encourage you to print the return e-mail and file it away so that you will not misplace
it. If you do forget your password, we will be glad to help you out but please keep in
mind that this will only be done as our time allows. We can not spend alot of time looking
for lost passwords. Running McKinney Net is already a full time job. If you forget your
"Nickname" simply search for yourself in The People Directory and it will be
displayed. You need both your Nickname and your Password to check your messages
or edit your profile.
Without alot more on the subject, we ask
that you use this free site feature to make new friends or find old ones and that you not
abuse this service in any way and that you show respect for others when sending messages.
McKinney Net reserves the right to add or
remove features from the People Directory as it sees fit without any prior notification to
any of our users.
We would like for all users to be
pro-active with their messages by either deleting or forwarding your messages as soon as
you have read them. We have provided you a way to forward the message to your e-mail
address and we encourage you to do so. Since these messages reside on our server and take
up disk space that could otherwise be used for other purposes, we will be forced to
automatically delete all messages left longer than 30 days.
While this is not actually a requirement,
it is certainly a request. We ask that you help us spread the word by telling others about
this free service. We want to grow this service to include as many people as possible. The
more people who know about this service, the better it will become. This service was a
result of both feedback from users wanting to find others and our desire to make McKinney
Net a better and more interactive place to visit. Feel free to contact us if you need
