Are you trying to find someone? Looking
for a new fishing buddy... an old friend... your lost love? Or maybe you want to have
others find you? Tired of empty chat rooms? Tired of getting bombed with junk e-mail?
If so, you have come to the right place.
McKinney Net's People
Directory is a place where people meet. This highly-interactive and free new service
allows our users and visitors to set-up an online identity or "Profile" telling
as much or as little about yourself as you want to. When creating your "Profile"
you will choose a "Nickname", and if you choose to do so, you can then receive
messages from others without them knowing your e-mail address. The other person will only
know your Nickname and we will automatically e-mail you when new messages arrive. Your
privacy is guaranteed and we do not sell or otherwise distribute any information submitted
in profiles.
Finally, a safe place in
cyberspace where you can anonymously meet people and have them find you. Simply visit
McKinney Net regularly and check your messages. You can even change your profile if
needed. Your profile should include your hobbies and interests and what kinds of things
you like to do.
You will also have the
ability to search for others. Lost relatives, high school sweethearts or heart-throbs,
other baby-boomers perhaps or maybe even a fishing or golfing partner. Who knows who you
will find here?

Search
The Directory
Use this feature to look for others with common interests, hobbies,
occupations etc. Or look for others in your same age group. You can also look for people
you already know but may not have talked to in a while. The options are almost limitless.
It all depends on what the other person wants others to know about them when they create
their profile. |
Add a New Profile
Create your own online identity (Nickname) telling others only what you
want them to know about you. Or you can ask that certain people with certain interests or
hobbies contact you. It's all up to you what you choose to include. Your privacy is
protected and we do not sell or otherwise distribute any information that you include in
your profile. |
Edit
an Existing Profile
If your hobbies, interests or job changes, or let's say you already found
a drummer and now you need a harmonica player, then you can quickly and easily edit your
existing profile to include the new information or get rid of old stuff. |
Send &
Receive Messages
Those wanting to send messages to Nicknames in the People Directory would
go to The Message Center and enter the Nickname of the person. The Nickname owner will
then receive an e-mail from us telling them that a new message has arrived. They would
then visit The Message Center themselves and enter their Nickname and password to check
their new messages. Messages can then be deleted or forwarded to their e-mail address. |
